A school search built by parents, for parents.

I spent months trying to find the right school for our daughter, searching websites, Facebook groups, talking to other parents, keeping track of it all in a spreadsheet. Before any of that started, we actually had a public Pre-K spot. We gave it up.

Ironically, the only reason we even knew when to apply elsewhere was because another parent told us. That kind of information was almost impossible to find on our own.

We thought we had a school lined up. It fell through. Then another one did too. At one school, we were told there'd be several interview dates. There was actually one, and when we couldn't make it, we were told to try again next year. At another, we showed up for a scheduled tour and no one knew we were coming. We gave them another chance anyway.

Then came our daughter's shadow day. We packed her lunchbox, rearranged work and childcare, got her excited and ready, and showed up to find they had no idea she was coming. They sent us home with a "call back Monday." She cried the whole way home.

That was the moment I knew: if a school doesn't know my child is supposed to be there, how am I supposed to trust them with her every day? These were well-known, well-regarded schools. None of that told us what it would actually be like to deal with them as parents.

So we ended up right back where we started: Google, Facebook groups, other moms, piecing together information that should have been so much easier to find.

That experience is why we built eduScout. We want to make finding the right school simpler for other families, so parents don't have to spend months piecing it all together the way we did.
